Acts 4 Ministry
Overview: Acts 4 Ministry is a non-denominational, tax exempt 501 (c)(3) charitable organization that supports the needs of low income families and individuals in the greater Waterbury area through the collection and distribution of re-usable clothing and furniture. Volunteer to help the ministry in whatever capacity is needed. There are opportunities to serve at various events throughout the year.

Living in Safe Alternatives, Inc. (LISA)
Overview: The Connections Mentor Program is the first in the state of Connecticut within the P.A.S.S. group homes to serve as a volunteer based mentoring program for our girls. The goals of the Connections Mentor Program are to establish long-term relationships with our girls and members of the broader community.

Starbase-CT
Overview: Starbase is a 20-year old, nationwide program to promote academic achievement and career interest in the STEM fields (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) for fifth-graders. Located on campus in Founders’ Hall Annex, we offer a series of one-week experiences to Waterbury Public School students, including metric measurement, engineering design, CAD, matter & energy, Motion & straw rockets, and more. Volunteers offer an hour or two per week of classroom assistance, and share their STEM-related plans and interests with a classroom of rapt and appreciative of 10-yr olds.

Overview: StayWell Health Care, Inc. provides preventive medical, dental, and mental health services to the underserved population of the Greater Waterbury community.

St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen
Overview: In 2008, NVCC volunteers from student clubs & staff opened the soup kitchen to the community on Sunday mornings. Together, we prepare lunch and meals for the shelter to use during the evening hour. We welcome volunteers every Sunday from 8 am-1 pm.
