How The Food Pantry Works

  • The Naugatuck Valley Student  Food Pantry serves students who may be struggling with food insecurity.
  • The pantry operates on the honor system. Students are allowed to self-refer and are not required to provide proof of need.
  • Students will be required to show their Student ID.
  • There are two programs available.  The Grab and Go program offers a quick bite to students while they are on campus.  The Grocery Program offers food (groceries!) for use at home.

About Naugatuck Valley's Student Food Pantry

The Naugatuck Valley Student  Food Pantry serves students who may be struggling with food insecurity. The pantry opened on Naugatuck Valley's Waterbury campus in February 2018 and services were later expanded to the Danbury Campus. It is funded through the NVCC Foundation, which supports the mission of the College by promoting awareness of college needs and services while raising funds to support students and mission-related initiatives.
