We're here to help you succeed

Learn about the library's remote resources

Important Information - Updated July 2, 2021

NVCC students are welcome to use a computer at the library; however, the number of available computers is limited and a reservation is highly recommended.  To maintain social distancing requirements, each computer may be used by only one student at a time.  The 5th floor study tables are now open for use, but the library's 4th floor study spaces will remain unavailable until further notice.  Face masks must be worn for the duration of your visit to the library.  Please review the CSCU mask and social distancing guidelines, and check NVCC's COVID FAQ page for more information.

If you are interested in borrowing a Chromebook for the Summer session, please use this request form.  You will be notified when your device is ready for pickup.  A request form to borrow a device for the Fall will be available at a later date.  If you would like to borrow a book or other item from the library, please request it through the library catalog or send an email to

Reference services will continue to be offered online via the library's live chat.  You may also make an appointment to meet with a librarian remotely.  Haga clic aquí para hacer una cita con una bibliotecaria bilingüe.

I'd Like To...

I'd like to reserve a computer at the Waterbury location.

Click here to reserve a computer in L523.  A mask must be worn for the duration of your visit to the library.  Computer use is limited to one person per computer.

Need help making a reservation?  Check out this video!

Please note that you must make a reservation even if you only need to print something quickly.  We recommend making one 15 minute reservation for that purpose.

Danbury students, stay tuned for more information about Danbury computer hours.

I'd like to request a Chromebook or WiFi hotspot.

If you need to borrow a device for the Summer session, please use this form.  A library staff member will contact you when an item is available for you.

I'd like to borrow a course reserve textbook.

Call or email us to reserve a current textbook.

We also have older editions of textbooks that can be borrowed for the semester. You can request to borrow an older edition. Check with your professor to see if that will be acceptable.

I'd like to borrow something else from the library.

You can request to borrow something from the library by putting a hold on it through the library catalog.  You can also contact the library to place a request. You can chat with us on our website, call us at (203) 575-8199, text us at (203) 951-8189, or email us and we will place the request for you.  Watch this video to learn more about borrowing items from the library!
