Office of Multicultural Affairs Hosts Celebration of Bread
Share
The event highlighted the breadth of NVCC’s multicultural learning community. So many students and faculty from the ESL program, the Black Student Union and the Hispanic Student Union kneaded, rolled, twisted, baked or brought bread for the event. It was a heartwarming experience to break bread with all who proudly fed and educated participants with their naan, challah, pan de agua, brioche, sweet bread, cassava bread, corn bread, roti, and more from countries ranging from Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Italy, France, Macedonia, China, India, Egypt, Turkey, Israel, Pakistan and the U.S. to name several of the samplings.
Thanks for giving us this day, a bread to eat and an opportunity to enjoy shalom.
