NVCC Inducts Six New Student Ambassadors into President’s Circle
Share
President Daisy Cocco De Filippis spoke about the academic honors and extracurricular achievements of the six inductees. She encouraged the students to “reach out and embrace the future. Believe in yourself, celebrate who you are, and remember, you are an important voice for our students and for NVCC. Don’t ever forget the need to work toward the greater good. You are a member of the human race and a contributor to the strength and beauty of your communities.”
Community leader, Darlene Stromstad, MBA, talked about the importance of hope, perspective, and resilience as she recalled growing up in one of America’s most rural areas during her keynote. “Resilience is the gift of hope. It is knowing that this year there may be a drought, but that there is always next year.”
High-achieving students wishing to serve as President’s Circle ambassadors for NVCC can apply in the spring. Applications are available online or at the main desk of the NVCC Library in Room L523.
