Naugatuck Valley Community College Literary Journal Publishes Call for Entries

Naugatuck Valley Community College’s art and literature journal, Fresh Ink, is inviting writers and graphic/photo artists to submit their work for consideration in the 2020 - 2021 issue. This edition is intended to honor the indominable creativity of our Waterbury and Danbury communities despite the obstacles presented by the pandemic. The Journal is accepting previously unpublished works in the three categories of poetry, short fiction, and 2-D art. Deadline for submissions is March 15, 2021.
Guidelines and specifications for submission:
- Writers and artists may submit up to 5 individual works. Each prose and poetry piece may not exceed 1250 words in length.
- 2-D representations of any art genre will be considered.
- Only electronically submitted text documents in .doc, .docx or .rtf formats will be considered.
- Graphics should be submitted in hi-resolution .jpg or .pdf format.
- All graphic submissions will be considered for the cover design.

- Each file name should be the work’s title.
- No author’s or artist’s names should appear on the submitted attached works.
- Authors’ and artists’ names and contact information should only be included in the body of the corresponding email message.
- Works submitted by NVCC students who self-identify via student id number will be entered into the Poetry, Short Fiction and Art contests.
