Online Job Board

We are working on a new way for employers to post job openings on a job board for our students and alumni.  Until that is ready to go please send your openings to the Career Services office, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and we will get the information out to our students.

Employer Profile & Job Posting Tips

  • Company Description and Web Address: Include the description of your company/organization in your profile when registering for your job board account. Let students and alumni know who you are and what you do. Including your website address in your profile will encourage them to take the opportunity to do more research on the organization.
  • Job Title: A descriptive title will get attention and increase interest in your opening. Titles such as “Banking”, “Retail” or “Intern” are very general and can mean many things.
  • Job Description and Requirements: Include a detailed job description and specific knowledge/experience required with each posting. This will help your opening to be found in more keyword searches and generate more interest from students and alumni.

On-campus recruiting

Reserve a table to come on campus during the fall and spring semesters to meet and interview our students!  This is a great opportunity to put the spotlight on your organization and let our students know about job openings and careers with your company.  We offer a table in a high traffic area, marketing of your event on campus and your event highlighted in our student and alumni newsletters.  If you will be interviewing any students we can provide a quiet area for your use.  Call or email and reserve your date today – 203-575-8158 – This email address is being protected from spambots. To best market your event and job openings we need as much notice as possible and a list of current openings.  Please sign up as much in advance as you can to give us time to reach our students with the best information possible.

Job and Career Fairs

CT State Naugatuck Valley hosts two Job and Career Fairs each year.  The fall Job Fair highlights part-time and entry level jobs as well as internships to help students to get job skills, experience and investigate careers in their chosen fields.  Our spring Job and Career Fair is for students and alumni to explore all types of jobs and get more information on career opportunities.  These fairs are a great opportunity for your to meet our students and for our students to meet you and learn about your organizations.  If you would like to sign up for our mailing list for either event please email us with your contact information and which event(s) you are interested in – This email address is being protected from spambots. Mock Interviews

Each fall and spring semester we have a Mock Interview day to help our students prepare to meet employers at our job and career fairs, as well as job interviews.   Students get the chance to interview with and be critiqued by an employer to improve their skills.  We are in need of volunteers to help with this event.  This is a one day event from 9:00am to 4:00pm usually 2 weeks before each job and career fair or expo. If you are able to offer a couple of hours to help out please let us know by calling or emailing our office – 203-575-8158 – This email address is being protected from spambots.
