NVCC Staffers "Race for Awareness"

NVCC Team Pulls in Top Three Finishes

Waterbury, CT - Three NVCC staff members competed in the Walk in Their Footsteps/Race for Awareness to benefit St. Vincent De Paul Mission of Waterbury, Inc. on Sat., Oct. 27. The three racers who comprised Team NVCC all placed in their age divisions: (L-R) Nancy Washington (3rd), Christine Cocchiola-Meyer (1st) and Mary Ann Fontaine (3rd).

“This was our first year participating in the race so next year we're excited for a big turnout,” said Cocchiola-Meyer, professor of human services and coordinator of Team NVCC.

The St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury, Inc. is a local, independent non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing services, housing, and basic needs to adults and families struggling with homelessness, poverty, hunger, and mental illness, so that they may achieve their highest potential in the areas of wellness, recovery, and independence.
