NVCC Hosts Connecticut Girl Scouts for STEMagination Family Science Night
NVCC was the proud host of the Connecticut Girl Scouts at their STEMagination Family Science Night held on Friday, February 9.  The evening was enjoyed by 50 youth and 34 adults from around the region.

Working with Professor Sandra Eddy, students from NVCC Information Systems Project Management Class (CSC252) volunteered to adapt, design, and deliver two workshops using resources from code.org.  The workshops provided interactive fun that opened the discussion about technology studies.  The teams from NVCC had the opportunity to deliver their workshop five times, to groups of ten girl scouts, who rotated to various workshops in the beautiful Founders Hall Community Room.  Recognizing the time and energy for volunteering, we commend the following NVCC students: Shakoyia Andrews, Karen Estronza, Felix Figueroa, Vanessa Jimbo, Alexandru Malacea, and Ingrid Taveras.

These NVCC students are currently majoring in Cybersecurity or Computer Information Systems (CIS).  Thank you again for being community partners.
