In congratulating the student writers, NVCC President Daisy Cocco De Filippis wrote to the entire campus, “Just as I think the week could not get any better, I am moved, not really surprised, by the news that our wonderful student reporters and editors of The Tamarack have been recognized in a very significant way by receiving seven awards from the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists! Count them, not one but seven, we continue to do things in a big way here. I praise their talent, resilience and perseverance as I celebrate with our NVCC community this well-deserved and important recognition.”
