Connecticut Choral Society Donates Choir Gowns to NVCC College Chorale

The music program at Naugatuck Valley Community College has received a generous donation of 16 gently used choir gowns from the Connecticut Choral Society (CCS). The dresses will be available to members of the NVCC College Chorale who don’t already have concert attire, thus relieving them from the expense of purchasing a gown.

“We are very appreciative to the choral society for this generous gift,” said NVCC Instructor of Music Andrew Ardizzoia, D.M.A. This is a prime example of how NVCC’s strong bonds in the community benefit our students. We offer thanks to the women of the CCS for helping to ensure the college chorale looks as sharp as it sounds.”

Choral Society member Betsy Hendricks organized the donation. The gowns join a donation made by the CCS last spring, when the society and the NVCC College Chorale collaborated with the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra in performances of Verdi’s Requiem.
