Commencement Festivities at Naugatuck Valley Community College Highlighted by Annual Leadership Banquet
The evening was filled with performance and praise to recognize the efforts of so many clubs and organizations and their contributions to campus life at NVCC. Over thirty clubs were recognized including the Tamarack Newspaper, the Veterans Club, the Black Student Union, Hispanic Student Union in both Waterbury and Danbury, Italian Club, Otaku Club, Newman Club, women on campus and many more representing the cultural and social diversity at NVCC.

Preceding the awards ceremony, the evening featured dance performances by NVCC’s Stage Society from Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and On the Willows from Godspell. The 2016 graduates of the Terpsichorean Club choreographed an ensemble which was performed for the event.

After the dance performances, Dean of Student Services, Sarah Gager delivered the closing remarks saying, “Each of you has worked hard throughout your time at NVCC to support your fellow students, faculty and staff and many throughout the community.

Dancing to the tune of DJ International carried the evening until closing at 10pm. A memorable time was had by all especially the graduates of the Class of 2016.
