Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

When should I get tutoring?

As soon as possible! Don't wait until the day (or day before) a paper is due or your test is held to get the help you need. You may find the content more difficult than you thought or that there aren't tutors available at the time you need.

What should I bring with me?

Bring a copy of the assignment or problem(s), your book, any work you have done, and some good questions for the tutor.

How much does it cost?

Nothing! The ACE is free to all full-time and part-time credit students.

How do I meet with a tutor?

You don't need an appointment to meet with a tutor, just stop by the ACE or on the Waterbury Campus call 203-575-8073 to meet with a tutor. For the Danbury Campus ACE call 203.437.9699

How often may I schedule tutoring?

You may receive help on a drop-in basis at any time during posted hours. See the subject-specific tutoring page for more information on our Writing Center and Math Lab.

mSI is the lab portion of the following developmental English and Math courses:

  • ENG 096T
