The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Division mission is to develop students’ mathematical, critical thinking, and science processing skills through active learning and the use of modern technology to prepare them for careers and further education. In addition, the Division provides specialized training in horticulture, manufacturing, and engineering technology that meets or exceeds industry standards.
To fulfill this mission, STEM degree programs prepare students for transfer to baccalaureate institutions or to directly enter the workforce. Some programs may do both. Certificate programs prepare students to enter the workforce or teach new skills that may improve job potential.
