About Summer Intersession

Summer is a great time to get ahead or make up a class that didn't go so well.  We offer over 100 online summer courses so you're bound to find the perfect class to meet your needs and your schedule. Classes are flexible and affordable letting you have time and money to enjoy your summer break. Enrolled at another college - it's a simple application for non-degree students and taking a summer class at NVCC will save you big over university prices.

General Session:  
June 6 - July 29  (8 weeks)
Last day for student-initiated withdrawal: July 22, 2022

Special Session I:
June 6 - July 8   (5 weeks)
Last day for student-initiated withdrawal: July 1, 2022

Special Session II:
July 11 - August 12   (5 weeks)
Last day for student-initiated withdrawal: August 5, 2022

In-person registration for General Session & Special Session I begins March 31.
Online registration:
General Session: April 1 - June 10
Special Session 1: April 1 - June 9
Special Session II: April 1 - July 14

New and Transfer Students:

General Session I: April 5 - June 10
Special Session I: April 5 - June 9
Special Session II: April 5 - July 14

Enrolled at Another College?

Take advantage of NVCC's intersession courses while on break and transfer credits back to your home college.*  A 3-credit course is only $656 plus any additional fees that may apply.  You can save hundreds of dollars per class compared to area colleges.

 All you need to apply as a non-degree student is:

Before registering for your summer class please read the refund policy established by the Board of Regents for Higher Education.  A complete list of withdrawal dates can be found on the Office of the Registrar's page. If you have any questions please email the Office of Registrar at records@nv.edu or call 203-596-2177.
