Center for Early Childhood Education at NVCC Receives CCAMPIS Grant to Help Pell-Eligible Students with Childcare Costs

Program will Launch in Fall, 2019

Childcare costs in Connecticut can prohibit families and individuals with children from advancing in their careers or education, but a recent grant from the Department of Education will help provide some relief. That relief is thanks to a Department of Education Grant awarded to the Center for Early Childhood Education at NVCC.

NVCC Awarded 5 Year National Science Foundation Grant

The National Science Foundation has awarded a grant of $649,323 to Naugatuck Valley Community College for support of the project, "Naugatuck Valley's STEM Inclusive Opportunity Network." Under the direction of Rebecca S. Binney, Associate Professor of Biology; Marian Zerbi, Associate Professor of Mathematics; and Peter S. Angelastro, Associate Professor of Biology; the award started March 1, 2019 and ends February 29, 2024.
