Fall classes at Naugatuck Valley Community College begin on Thursday, August 26, 2021. To support students in preparing for their semester, NVCC is hosting an Enrollment Event on Saturday, July 10, from 9 am – 1 pm on both the Waterbury and Danbury campuses.
This Saturday Enrollment Event offers financial aid workshops, advising opportunities, and information sessions. Students are encouraged to register so that they may take advantage of the academic advising and enrollment assistance offered by this event. Advising is recommended for all students and required for new students. https://nv.edu/Admissions-and-Aid/The-Smart-Choice/Registration-Event
It is also the last Saturday for students to learn more about PACT (Pledge to Advance Connecticut), which supports Connecticut residents who are first-time college students and who enroll full-time in community college this fall 2021 semester. PACT allows students who qualify to earn a degree or qualifying certificate without taking on debt. Entry into the program is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and the deadline for acceptance is July 15, 2021. For more information and to see if you qualify, check here: https://nv.edu/Admissions-and-Aid/Getting-Started/PACT-Program
Students will also learn about NVCC’s academic programs, NVCC’s Advanced Manufacturing program, as well as Continuing Education and Workforce opportunities that offer non-credit certificate options.
Noel Rosamilio, Associate Dean of Enrollment Management commented, “We’re excited to welcome all new and continuing students to this event. The NVCC staff are eager to assist you in achieving your education goals."
